NFIB's Virtual Maryland Small Business Day a Great Success

Date: March 16, 2023

Watch a recording of the event at the link below.

NFIB Maryland’s’ 2023 Small Business Day, hosted virtually on March 7th, was “standing room only” as small business owners from around the Old Line State discussed the issues most important to their businesses with State Director Mike O’Halloran.

2023 is an important year for Maryland’s small business owners. With single-party control now in the capital, Lawmakers need to hear from Main Street job creators more than ever on how to best jumpstart economic recovery. To that end, O’Halloran directed an informative discussion with NFIB members to ensure that the Voice of Small Business is well-informed and heard in Annapolis.

The event, which was free for members and guests, included an overview of NFIB’s legislative priorities in the state legislature, as well as instruction on how small-business owners can influence policy in Maryland to help your business succeed. NFIB members interacted with key officials, discussing the top issues on the agenda in the General Assembly:

Speakers:
• Eric Luedtke – Chief Legislative Officer of Governor Wes Moore
• Senator Melony Griffith – Chair of the Senate Finance Committee
• Delegate Jason Buckel – House Minority Leader

The meeting is now available for members and small business allies to watch:

>>> Hit the brakes on accelerating increased minimum wage! <<<

It takes one minute of your time to fill out the above hyperlinked action alert to contact your legislators and ask them to oppose accelerating the minimum wage. Customizing your message with your business name and personal story is always an effective way of making sure your message gets noticed.
