NFIB President and CEO Brad Close met recently in Washington, D.C., with House Speaker Mike Johnson to discuss the need to make the 20% Small Business Deduction (Section 199A) permanent and other issues critical to America’s small businesses.

The member of Congress from Louisiana’s 4th District also discussed inflation and other issues important to Pelican State businesses.

“Speaker Johnson was a champion for small business when he served in the Louisiana House of Representatives, and he remains a strong advocate for Main Street in Washington, D.C.,” NFIB State Director Dawn McVea said. “Speaker Johnson has earned multiple Guardian of Small Business Awards and is doing everything he can to help restore confidence in government and the economy,” she said.

“On behalf of our members, I want to thank Speaker Johnson for taking the time to meet with us and supporting Main Street businesses.”
