NFIB Kansas hosted a legislative session recap.
On Thursday, July 18, NFIB Kansas hosted a virtual event to discuss the 2024 Legislative Session. This was an opportunity for small business owners to learn more about issues on the state level, share their concerns, and ask questions.
“It’s always good for me to hear from small business owners,” NFIB State Director Dan Murray said. “One thing we’ve heard consistently for the past 24 months is that inflation and finding qualified workers are the major issues that are impacting small business owners.
Murray continued, urging participants to reach out to their state lawmaker and discuss their challenges.
“I would encourage you to visit with your legislator,” Murray said. “Have a conversation with them. That is so helpful not only for yourself, but also for me when I come to the statehouse and talk to legislators about what is important to small business owners, that they’ve heard from you back home. It helps to carry the message forward.”
Topics discussed include:
- Tax Cuts
- Workers’ Compensation Reform
- Unemployment Insurance Reform
- Regulatory Reform…and more!
