Governor Kemp's State of the State Address Offers Encouraging News for Small Business

NFIB State Director Hunter Loggins says Gov. Brian Kemp’s State of the State address provided encouraging news for Georgia’s small business owners. “Governor Kemp pointed out that the state has announced over $17 billion in four major economic development projects across the state in the last 365 days,” Loggins said. “These big projects will without a doubt create opportunities for small businesses in those communities. Our members were especially pleased to hear about the governor’s commitment to improving education and workforce training throughout the state. Our members say finding qualified workers is one of the biggest challenges facing them right now. “We look forward to working with Governor Kemp and legislative leaders during this year’s session of the General Assembly on legislation that clears a way for small businesses to grow and create jobs.” Click here to read a transcript of the governor’s speech.
