North Carolina’s Small Business Community Endorses Ted Budd

RALEIGH, N.C. (Aug. 23, 2022) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, today endorsed Ted Budd for election to the United States Senate to represent North Carolina.

“Ted Budd has proudly served North Carolina’s 13th Congressional District in the U.S. House, and we believe he will be a strong small business supporter in the U.S. Senate,” said Gregg Thompson, NFIB North Carolina State Director. “Congressman Budd supported historic tax relief for small businesses in 2017 and supports making the Small Business Deduction permanent, a priority for North Carolina’s small businesses. As a small business owner, he understands firsthand the hardships small business owners face including meeting payroll and managing overreaching regulations and excessive taxes. We are certain that he will continue to be a dependable voice for small businesses in the Senate.”

“Congressman Ted Budd has a proven record of advocating for legislation that creates jobs and stopping legislation that would hurt small businesses,” said Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director. “He has a strong pro-small business voting record and has received NFIB’s Guardian of Small Business award during his tenure in the House. We are pleased to endorse him today and look forward to continuing to work with him.”

The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by the NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation.
