On April 8, 2026, the General Assembly convened a “fiscal session.” Fiscal sessions were first established in Arkansas in 2010. They occur in odd-numbered years, and the primary purpose is to address budgetary and financial matters. The sessions are limited to 30 days in duration.

This year’s fiscal session will look a little different than in years past. Governor Sanders has announced there will be a separate special session to address income tax in Arkansas after the fiscal session ends.

While Arkansas has many pro-small business legislators, direct advocacy from our members makes a big difference. We will continue to elevate the voice of small businesses.
