Regulation Evaluation Portal Open for Small Business Owner Feedback

Regulation Evaluation Portal Open for Small Business Owner Feedback

April 13, 2026

The Regulation Evaluation Portal allows Texans to submit feedback and make recommendations on areas of possible government overregulation

NFIB Texas co-chaired Governor Greg Abbott’s Small Business Freedom Council to review government efficiency for Texas businesses. The council made several recommendations that would make it easier to do business in the Lone Star State, including creating the Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office (TREO).

On TREO’s website, Texans will find a Regulation Evaluation Portal, where small business owners are encouraged to submit feedback and make recommendations on areas of possible government overregulation that TREO should examine. This portal will be used to determine trends and find opportunities to reduce administrative, licensing, and regulatory burdens for small businesses.
