NFIB State Director Ben Homeyer said today that 99 members of the South Carolina Legislature earned a 100% NFIB Voting Record for the 2025-26 legislative session. The total includes 36 members of the Senate and 63 members of the House.

“These legislators stood with South Carolina’s small businesses on issues ranging from tax and regulatory relief to energy, unemployment insurance and civil justice reform,” Homeyer said. “Their votes will help create a better environment for Main Street businesses to grow, create jobs and invest in their communities.”

The NFIB Voting Record includes six key votes in both chambers of the legislature and one in the Senate. Issues included tax relief, unemployment insurance reform and the Small Business Regulatory Freedom Act, legislation that would strengthen oversight of state regulations, require regular reviews to identify outdated or unnecessary rules, and give lawmakers a greater role in approving regulations with significant economic impacts.

Homeyer said the voting record doesn’t reflect every factor a lawmaker may consider before casting a vote, nor does it provide a complete picture of a legislator’s work. It also doesn’t account for lawmakers who supported small businesses during committee hearings or in other parts of the legislative process.
