NFIB Releases Illinois Small Business Legislative Voting Record

NFIB Releases Illinois Small Business Legislative Voting Record

July 8, 2026

28 Illinois legislators scored 100% on NFIB’s legislative scorecard

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), Illinois’ leading small business advocacy organization, released its 2025-2026 small business legislative voting record for Illinois.

Five state senators and 23 state representatives scored a 100% pro-small business voting record during the 2025-2026 legislative session.

“Inflation, uncertainty, and governmental taxes and mandates have hit many small businesses hard,” said NFIB Illinois State Director Noah Finley. “Main Street businesses appreciate the efforts of their friends in the Illinois legislature who stand up for them day-in and day-out against the special interests pushing to make it harder—and more expensive—to run a business in Illinois.”

The 2025-2026 NFIB Voting Record does not reflect every element considered by lawmakers when voting, nor does it represent a complete profile of the legislators. The voting record includes key votes on many issues important to small businesses, but does not factor in their committee votes or other behind-the-scenes legislative support of Main Street businesses.
