Topics will include requirements and small business resources
The state Department of Revenue is hosting a free webinar for NFIB members and others opening a business in Tennessee.
The webinar will be Wednesday, July 8, at 8:30 a.m. CDT.
Presenteers will explain Tennessee’s tax requirements for new businesses and highlight resources available to help owners succeed. Offered quarterly, the program covers topics including tax registration, sales and use tax, business tax, franchise and excise taxes, and how to get assistance from the Department of Revenue and other state agencies.

The Tennessee Department of Revenue administers the state’s tax laws and motor vehicle title and registration laws. The department collects about 87% of Tennessee’s state revenue. During fiscal year 2025, it collected more than $21 billion in state taxes and fees and more than $5 billion in local taxes and fees.
