SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 18, 2026—The political action committee for Utah’s leading small business association today announced its endorsement of Sen. J. Stuart Adams for reelection. Adams represents Senate District 7, which takes in parts of Davis and Morgan counties.

“He knows small business issues firsthand, being a small business owner himself,” said Casey Hill, state director for NFIB in Utah, speaking for the NFIB UT PAC, which made the endorsement. “He’s more than just an ally of Main Street enterprises, he’s a champion. His business acumen, combined with his long legislative experience, and success in passing meaningful legislation make Senate President Stuart a formidable force for the mom-and-pop enterprises of Utah.”

State legislators were graded on their votes on eight issues of high importance to small businesses during the 2025-2026 session of the Utah Legislature. A brief description of those bills and every lawmaker’s vote on them can be found in the voting record. Stuart racked up a perfect 100% voting record.

“Utah is blessed to have leaders such as Senate President Stuart at a time when housing, energy, and affordability are top-of-the-mind issues,” said Hill. “He has addressed them all both professionally and politically.”

NFIB tracks both state and federal legislation for their effect on small business owners’ right to own, operate, and grow their enterprises. The votes taken in Congress and the State Capitol are then published biennially so everyone can see and judge who the true friends of small business are. Come election time, The Power of the Small Business Voice is the most highly regarded and highly respected in the nation.
