DOD to host ‘matchmaker’ event for government contracting

The Ohio Department of Development (DOD) announced registration is open for the 2026 “Ohio Business Matchmaker” event. The event allows Ohio’s small businesses the opportunity to meet with government agencies and prime contractors. The event will take place on April 22 & 23 at Wright State University in Dayton.

Event Details:

The April 22 portion involves training sessions to help participants prepare and strategize for one-on-one pre-scheduled meetings held on April 23. That day’s event also offers walk-up opportunities with agencies and prime contractors. In-person training will start at 12 p.m. on April 22; April 23 events run from 7:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Registration Info:

  • Registration is $175 or $200 for walk-in small businesses. That package includes one event ticket; access to business counseling with resource partners; admission to an April 22 evening networking reception with appetizers; a breakfast and lunch on April 23; and access to “Lender’s Row” of bankers with experience in financing government contractors.
  • The small business exhibitor tier is priced at $350 and includes two tickets; a six-foot table on the arena’s main floor; and the other items included in the small business package. Exhibitors wanting more than two tickets will need to buy them through the small business package option.
