NFIB member Warren Hudak discusses rising health care costs on podcast

NFIB’s “Small Business Rundown” podcast featured Pennsylvania small business owner Warren Hudak on the latest episode to discuss how rising health care costs affect his small business and competition with big businesses. Crucial legislation in Congress would help small business owners contain rising health insurance costs.

We’re a regional accounting firm here in central Pennsylvania,” Hudak explained. “So, we deal with a lot of healthcare issues for our clients. I mean, we’re trying to compete with the big guys…when it comes to healthcare, it’s not left, right, or Republican or Democrat. It’s more David and Goliath. We’re expected to compete with the big boys with our healthcare benefits, but it’s impossible.”

ICYMI: NFIB issued a new Legislative Health Care Plan outlining several proposals Congress should implement to lower rising health care costs on small businesses. The proposal is designed to protect and improve small business owners’ ability to offer health benefits to their employees.
