Tell your legislators how government spending & costly mandates impact your small business

Last month, Governor Shapiro announced his 2026 budget proposal, which would result in a $4.5 billion deficit for the Commonwealth. Pennsylvania legislators are also considering costly proposals that would impact the small business community. Owners are encouraged to take action below and tell lawmakers how these policies will affect their small businesses.

Pennsylvania Wants to Spend More of Your Money
Gov. Shapiro’s budget calls for increased state spending that would create a $4.5 billion deficit. With no verifiable plan to cover this shortfall, small business owners could be left holding the bag. TAKE ACTION: Send a message to your lawmakers to urge them to pass a balanced budget with no tax increases on Main Street.

Minimum Wage Increases – Forever
Every year, Gov. Shapiro has proposed a minimum wage hike. Under his current plan, Pennsylvania’s minimum wage would reach $15 by 2029, then rise automatically based on inflation. TAKE ACTION: Tell your lawmaker the cost of running a business is already rising, and small businesses cannot afford an increased minimum wage.
