Your Help is Needed on Two Big Issues

March 3, 2026

Let your state elected officials know small businesses cannot afford government-run health care or an increase in the minimum-wage rate

At the push of a button, you can let you state officials know your opposition to two bills working their way through the State Capitol.

The small business voice is the most listened to, most valued, and most trusted of any group’s in the nation.

Act Now to register your opposition on:

  • Assembly Bill 1900 would create the California Guaranteed Health Care for All program, or CalCare, a government-run health care system in the state. NFIB California members are – and historically have been – overwhelmingly opposed to universal health care in the state. $392 billion dollars is the latest estimated cost of the proposed universal single-payer health care system in California. • Assembly Bill 2646 would hurt farmers, farm workers, and consumers by Increasing the minimum wage to $19.75 per hour, which will lead to significant job loss, income reductions, closures of small businesses, and price increases for all Californians. Californians already rejected an $18 minimum wage in 2024, because it would have been devastating to all Californians. A $19.75 minimum wage that increases annually is unfeasible, especially as businesses currently face labor shortages, supply chain challenges, spiking utility rates, skyrocketing property taxes and more.
