NFIB Virginia PAC Endorses John Reid for Lieutenant Governor

NFIB Virginia PAC Endorses John Reid for Lieutenant Governor

October 16, 2025

The endorsement is based on his support of small business and plans to strengthen Virginia's economy

The NFIB Virginia PAC today announced its endorsement of John Reid for lieutenant governor. The political action committee consists solely of small business owners from across Virginia who are members of the National Federation of Independent Business.

NFIB State Director Julia Hammond said the endorsement is based on Reid’s strong record of supporting small businesses and his detailed plan to strengthen Virginia’s workforce and economy.

“John Reid has long understood the challenges small business owners face,” she said. “As the award-winning host of ‘Richmond’s Morning News’ on WRVA, John made a point of reaching out to small business owners across Virginia to hear their concerns and ideas. He gave them a voice in public policy debates and helped make their issues part of the statewide conversation.”

Hammond said Reid’s background and vision for the state align closely with NFIB’s priorities.

“He completed NFIB’s candidate questionnaire with responses that fully align with our small business positions. He’s the only candidate with a detailed plan for workforce development and growth for small businesses in every segment of the economy,” she said.

“I’m honored to have the endorsement of Virginia’s small business champions at NFIB,” Reid said. “Entrepreneurs and job creators are the backbone of our communities — and they deserve a government that has their back, not one that gets in their way.

“As lieutenant governor, I’ll fight to cut red tape, lower taxes, and make Virginia the best place in America to start and grow a business,” he said. “Together, we can build a commonwealth that rewards hard work, not bureaucracy.”

The endorsement comes during a critical election year for Virginia’s small business community. Small business owners and their employees vote in large numbers and often encourage friends and family to do the same. The NFIB Virginia PAC bases its endorsements on candidates’ records and positions on issues that affect small business owners.
