New Radio, Digital, and Billboard Ads Will Run in Key States Thanking Lawmakers for Stopping Massive Tax Hike on America’s Small Business Owners
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Aug. 22, 2025) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, today released new radio, digital and billboard advertisements thanking Congress for taking action to make the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent.
The multi-platform campaign, which represents a continuation of NFIB’s multi-year advocacy effort in support of the Small Business Deduction, is running on radio, digital, and billboards in states across the country. The ads thank Congress for voting to make the deduction permanent and for stopping a massive tax hike on small business owners.

“For years, NFIB’s members have spoken out about the importance of making the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent,” said Brad Close, NFIB President. “The White House and Congress took action and provided America’s small businesses a massive economic shot in the arm, allowing them to keep more of their hard-earned money in their businesses and their communities. This huge victory is the direct result of the broad support small businesses have in Washington and the tireless advocacy of small businesses all across America. By making the deduction permanent, Congress has stopped a massive tax hike on Main Street and given America’s small businesses the certainty they need to invest, grow, and give back to their communities.”
The 20% Small Business Tax Deduction, first passed as part of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, allows small business owners to deduct up to 20% of their qualified business income. This critical provision helps level the playing field between small firms and large corporations.
