Insurance Law Changes – 2025 Legislative Changes Affecting Insurance In Maine, Bulletin 485, is available on the Bureau of Insurance website. www.maine.gov/pfr/insurance/legal/bulletins

Paid Family & Medical Leave – Updated Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) documents for employers  and employees are available on the Bureau of Paid Family & Medical Leave website. www.maine.gov/paidleave/

State Budget Ends Fiscal Year with Surplus – Gov. Janet Mills announced August 1 the Fiscal 2024-25 General Fund budget ended with a surplus of $150.2 million and that the Rainy Day Fund has climbed to over $1 billion.  State Treasurer Joe Perry also announced Fitch Ratings has upgraded the State’s bond rating to AA+.  www.maine.gov/governor/mills/
