Many issues were discussed during July 24 Roundtable event in Modesto
As part of its continuing series of Roundtable meetings with legislators, NFIB organized a gathering of its small-business-owning members with Assemblymember Juan Alanis in his Modesto district office on July 24.
Reported NFIB policy director Tim Taylor, “I thought it was extremely successful. The assemblyman was gracious with his time and demonstrated a wide breadth of knowledge on small business issues, retail theft and Prop 36 in particular.
“We talked and listened for over two hours and chatted about many issues: retail theft, minimum wage, LCSF and gas prices, Workplace Violence Prevention plans, supply chain issues, PAGA, and specific business issues that our NFIB members are experiencing on the ground.
“The assemblyman’s staff was accommodating and sharp! The event was a great success.”
NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
