NC Small Business Owners Visit With Lawmakers at D.C. Fly-In

The event gave NFIB members a chance to engage directly with elected leaders

NFIB State Director Gregg Thompson led a group of North Carolina small business owners Washington, D.C., June 9-11 for the 2025 NFIB Fly-In.

The annual event gives NFIB members a chance to meet with members of Congress and their staffs to talk about critical issues, such as repealing burdensome and costly beneficial ownership requirements and saving the the 20% Small Business Deduction, which is set to expire at the end of the year.

The North Carolina delegation met with Sen. Ted Budd, Rep. Rich Hudson, and Rep. Addison McDowell.

“I want to thank Senator Budd and Representatives Hudson and McDowell for taking the time to meet and listen to what our members had to say about the federal issues affecting Main Street,” Thompson said.
