Senate Bill 832 rolls back tort reform measures

Last week, the Florida House passed legislation that rolls back many of the 2023 lawsuit abuse reform measures the small business community advocated for. Senate Bill 832 would make it more difficult for juries to see actual medical costs incurred by plaintiffs, thereby increasing damage awards at trial. It also allows attorneys’ fees to be awarded to plaintiffs in most lawsuits against insurance companies – a practice that was banned in the 2023 tort reform bill.

Now is the time to tell your senator to vote NO on SB 832!
