Governor Murphy’s SFY 2022 Budget Delivered

The Governor delivered his budget message and the good news is that there are no new taxes or fees.  The 44.3 billion dollar proposed budget is 10 billion dollars more than the SFY 2017 budget.   The proposal includes a 6.4 billion dollar pension payment, which marks the first time the State has made a full pension contribution since SFY1996.  Also the Governor included 200 million earmarked for small business relief initiatives.   While NFIB is delighted that there are no new taxes, we will be working with the legislature to provide more funding in the final budget to support Main Street.
