South Dakota Small Businesses Endorse Senator John Thune for Re-Election

PIERRE, S.D. (Oct. 13, 2022) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed Senator John Thune for re-election to the United States Senate to represent South Dakota.

“Senator John Thune is a proven ally of South Dakota’s small businesses in the U.S. Senate,” said Lindsey Riter-Rapp, NFIB South Dakota State Director. “He is an advocate for pro-small business policies, earning a 100% NFIB voting record for this term, and was recently named a Guardian of Small Business. Senator Thune is a champion of family businesses, as he has led efforts in the Senate to repeal the death tax, which would benefit family businesses throughout the state. We know Senator Thune will remain a strong voice for small businesses and we look forward to continuing to work with him.”

“We are proud to endorse Senator Thune for re-election today,” said Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director. “He understands the concerns our members have and has been a reliable small business vote during his time in the Senate.”

The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by the NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation.
