Virginia Small Businesses Endorse Jen Kiggans

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Sept. 1, 2022) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, today endorsed Jen Kiggans for election to the United States House of Representatives to represent Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District. The endorsement was announced at a campaign event hosted at NFIB member small business Marchese Italian Market in Virginia Beach. “Senator Jen Kiggans is a champion for small business issues with a strong voting record supporting Main Street during her tenure in the state Senate,” said Julia Hammond, NFIB Virginia State Director. “She understands that it is important to keep taxes low for small businesses and has committed to making the Small Business Deduction permanent. During her time in the Virginia Legislature, she supported tax relief efforts for small businesses by voting to nearly double the standard deduction and freeze the state gas tax. We are proud to endorse her and look forward to working with her in Washington.” “It is an honor to earn the endorsement of the NFIB,” said Sen. Jen Kiggans. “After watching the impact of overregulation on our business community, I am proud to be a voice for the small businesses who are the backbone of our local economy. As an advocate for small businesses of all types, I look forward to continuing to promote pro-growth policies that encourage our small businesses to succeed and thrive.” “We are confident Jen Kiggans will be a pro-small business Member of Congress,” said Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director. “She has been an ally of small businesses in the state legislature and will continue to work on the issues that impact them in Congress. We are pleased to endorse her today.” The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by the NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation.
