UI payroll tax rate notices for the current fiscal year to be mailed soon

At the start of the state’s new fiscal year on July 1, businesses were socked with an increase in unemployment insurance payroll taxes. However, the state Department of Labor & Workforce Development has yet to post information about the tax hike, frustrating businesses. A late-breaking report indicates that a spokesperson for the Department of Labor & Workforce Development has disclosed that tax rate notices for the current fiscal year will be mailed to employers beginning Aug. 19. NFIB continues to advocate for relief from this unfair burden on small businesses, and we will update members as soon as we learn more.
