The Illinois General Assembly reconvened on Tuesday, January 16, kicking off the spring legislative session.

Over the next few weeks, legislators will be filing legislation that will impact small businesses and the state’s economic climate and affordability.

Last week, NFIB released its 2024 Illinois Main Street Agenda. See announcement here.

As legislation is filed and begins to move through the legislative process, NFIB will advocate on behalf of small businesses across the state.

The legislative session is scheduled to run now through May. Governor Pritzker will lay out his budgetary and legislative priorities to the General Assembly on February 21 in his annual State of the State address.
