Wade notes how inflation and the labor shortage are affecting small businesses’ ability to take advantage of sales opportunities, leaving Main Street businesses feeling less optimistic about the future. More are thinking that business conditions will worsen in the next six months and that is not a good position for small business owners to operate in. So, the environment is looking challenging to say the least.” “That is one of the most frustrating areas of business operations, when you can’t take advantage of the sales opportunities that are out there because you don’t have the workforce to accommodate for those sales. So, that’s still a reality for many small business owners in trying to take advantage of those opportunities and having to either adjust business operations or scale back, which is certainly one of the bigger frustrations that small business owners are facing.” “The economy is still moving along quite well, and small business owners are trying to take advantage of those opportunities and are having a really hard time doing it.”
