Although Main Street businesses are grateful the General Assembly didn’t pass any legislation that makes it harder to do business in Missouri before they adjourned their 2023 legislative session, there are numerous opportunities for lawmakers to address small business concerns next session. READ: What the End of Session Means for Missouri Small Business Owners Small business owners learned more about those opportunities and victories secured in the 2023 session during a virtual event hosted by NFIB State Director Brad Jones. During the event, attendees were able to participate in a Q&A and learn more about the issues NFIB is tracking in Jeff City and in Washington, D.C. WATCH: NFIB Missouri 2023 Legislative Session Wrap-Up Virtual Event Upon the conclusion of the virtual event, Jones encouraged members to remain engaged and elect candidates who will support small business priorities with sound public policy: “It’s one thing for lawmakers to hear from me on a particular issue. It’s a whole lot more meaningful for lawmakers to hear directly from the job creators they represent. We’re grateful to our members for engaging their lawmakers so we can get common-sense solutions across the finish line.” NFIB makes it easy for you to keep up legislation that will impact your business at the state or federal level, and how you can get involved.
