LISTEN: NFIB Missouri Joins Real Talk with Riggin

In a conversation with Cape Girardeau’s Faune Riggin on 960-KZIM, NFIB State Director Brad Jones discussed NFIB’s recent reporting on small business economic trends on his way home from D.C. and NFIB’s annual Fly-In.

During their conversation, Jones noted that the labor shortage continues to pose a serious challenge to small business owners in Missouri and across the country.

“We still have 44 percent of our business owners who have job openings they cannot fill. Why? That’s the biggest question. And then you look at technical jobs like construction, it’s even harder. Consequently, what do they have to do? They have to pay more money and that gets right at the heart of the inflation issue.”
