NFIB Jobs Report Underscore Challenges Facing Ohio's Small Businesses

NFIB Interim State Director Chris Ferruso says NFIB’s monthly jobs report underscores many of the issues facing Ohio’s small businesses, including problems finding enough people to work. “Small businesses are fortunate to have a General Assembly that’s committed to funding TechCred and preparing people to enter the workforce,” Ferruso said. “Our members believe that’s a program that’s going to pay dividends for decades to come. NFIB’s monthly jobs report, released today, found that a seasonally-adjusted 47% of small business owners nationwide reported job openings they could not fill in the current period. “The small business labor demand remained strong in February,” NFIB Chief Economist Bill Dunkelberg said. “Small business owners are working to maintain competitive compensation and are raising compensation in the hopes of filling their open critical positions.” Click here to view the full report
