Main Street Urges Lawmakers to Keep Arizona a Small Business State

PHOENIX (Jan. 13, 2025) – Ahead of Governor Katie Hobbs’ State of the State address, NFIB State Director Chad Heinrich outlined several small business priorities for the legislative session, including tax, regulatory, and tort reform.

“Despite serious economic challenges, small businesses created nearly 77 percent of all net new jobs in Arizona between 2022 and 2023. Ensuring our state remains a small business state requires lawmakers to understand the unique challenges small employers face. From simplifying our tax code, cutting regulatory red-tape, and promoting a balanced civil justice system, NFIB will continue to advocate on behalf of our Main Street businesses.”
