Reminder: New Unemployment Rule in Effect Offering Small Employers Reporting Flexibility

The rule went into effect on Dec. 19

Ohio’s Department of Job and Family Services now allows small employers to report all unemployment taxes and wages under a single primary account. This method of reporting is known as “common paymaster arrangement” and can save employers on unemployment taxes and streamline quarterly reporting.

The rule went into effect on Dec. 19, 2024.
