LISTEN: NFIB State Director on Small Business Optimism

NFIB State Director Tom Underwood went on WVLK radio in Lexington recently to discuss the Optimism Index and other small business issues

NFIB State Director Tom Underwood went on “Kruser & Crew” on NewsTalk 590 WVLK in Lexington on Oct. 30 to talk about the latest NFIB Optimism Index and other issues affecting the commonwealth’s small businesses.

“They’ve got a number of things to worry about,” Underwood said. “If you looked at our uncertainty index, it rose 11 points to 103, the highest reading we’ve ever reported. (Small) businesses cannot tolerate uncertainty, and they don’t know what’s going to happen…. They’ve still got inflation they’re struggling with. A lot of them are retracting. We’ve seen they’re telling us they’re lowering their inventory levels.”

Listen to a replay of the broadcast below.
