Mottek on Money show interviews NFIB Vice President Jeff Brabant about the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill Act’

For the second time in two weeks, host Frank Mottek of the Mottek on Money show on KABC Radio in Los Angeles reached out to NFIB for its opinion on its signature issue in Congress—the Small Business Deduction.

Mottek interviewed NFIB Vice President Jeff Brabant when the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which contains the Small Business Deduction, passed the U.S. House on May 22 and kindly had Brabant back on June 3 to speculate on the legislation’s journey through the U.S. Senate.

“From a small business perspective, I think it’s a very good bill,” said Brabant, head of NFIB’s federal government relations team. “I think it’s one of the better bills in recent history for small businesses.”

By making the Small Business Deduction permanent, and not letting it expire at the end of the year, Brabant said it would go a long way to addressing what’s been troubling small businesses of late.

“Uncertainty has been rising among small business owners in recent months, and one of the reasons we’ve heard … they’re not sure if they’re going to face tax increases next year.”
