What Does the Latest NFIB Optimism Index Say About Virginia?

State Director Julia Hammond says the report reflects conditions in the commonwealth

NFIB State Director Julia Hammond says what’s happening with Virginia’s Main Street businesses is reflected in the latest national Small Business Economic Trends Survey.

Small business owners are cautiously optimistic, but many say they are still struggling to find qualified workers.

“Overall demand for new hires may be leveling off, but there are still a lot of small businesses out there looking for workers.”

The NFIB Small Business Optimism Index rose 0.5 points in August to 100.8, nearly 3 points above the 52-year average of 98. Click here to learn more.
