State Director Hunter Loggins says the latest report mirrors what's happening in the Peach State
NFIB State Director Hunter Loggins says what’s happening with Georgia’s Main Street businesses is reflected in the latest national Small Business Economic Trends Survey.
“Our members are cautiously optimistic,” he said. “Sales are improving, but that optimism is tempered by the persistent problem of finding qualified people to work.”
Likewise, Loggins said the most recent NFIB Jobs Report highlighted the challenges facing Georgia small business owners.
“Our small business members might not be looking to fill as many positions, right now, but they’re still hiring,” he said. “The biggest challenge is still finding job candidates with the right skills and experience.”
The NFIB Small Business Optimism Index rose 0.5 points in August to 100.8, nearly 3 points above the 52-year average of 98. Click here to learn more.
