HB 1210 is overly broad, increasing small business owners’ legal exposure
Colorado lawmakers are considering HB 1210, a sweeping “surveillance data” bill that puts small businesses at serious legal risk.
The bill uses broad, unclear definitions and restricts how businesses make everyday pricing and wage decisions. Even more concerning, it creates a private right of action, opening the door to costly lawsuits driven by trial attorneys, not regulators.
For many small businesses, just one lawsuit could put them out of business.
Small business owners need clarity, not more legal exposure and uncertainty.
Send a message to your state senator today and urge them to oppose HB 1210.
