TAKE ACTION: Tell Wisconsin Lawmakers to Return the Budget Surplus

June 9, 2025

Ask Lawmakers in Madison to return the budget surplus by reducing the tax burden!

Budget season is in full swing in Madison where lawmakers are starting to act on the biennial budget bill. The Republican Legislature had been in negotiations with Democratic Governor Tony Evers to reach a compromise on the state’s budget. Those negotiations were largely over how to handle the state’s $4 billion surplus. Republicans favored cutting taxes, while Governor Evers wanted very large increases in government programs.

Act NOW and let your legislators know that the surplus should be returned to taxpayers in the form of tax relief.

Small businesses are facing many challenges from inflation to the rising cost of health care. Reducing the tax burden will enable small businesses to continue their vital contributions to our local economy.
