NFIB’s Jared Weiser Participates in Lima/Allen County Business Roundtable

October 2, 2025

The panel discussion focused on the state of Ohio’s business community

On Friday, September 26, 2025, NFIB Ohio State Director Jared Weiser joined the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce for a panel discussion on the state of small businesses in Ohio. Weiser explained that NFIB members are feeling optimistic about the future of their business, especially after Congress made the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent.

The panel included representatives from the Ohio Business Roundtable, Ohio Council of Retail Merchants, Ohio Chamber of Commerce, JobsOhio, and the Ohio Farm Bureau and was hosted by ABC Anchor Mike Kallmeyer.

“Ohio’s small business community is strong, and owners are feeling better about the economy and the future of their business,” said Weiser. “We will continue monitoring movement in the Ohio Legislature as we advocate for pro-business legislation to further strengthen our local economy.”

TAKE ACTION: It’s important that your elected officials hear from you about the challenges facing your small business. NFIB is strongly advocating for the full repeal of the invasive and unconstitutional beneficial ownership reporting requirements. Tell Congress to repeal the BOI requirement and destroy all BOI data already submitted. Sign our petition here.
