May 15, 2025

The Missouri Senate voted to repeal the paid sick leave mandate.

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), Missouri’s leading small business advocacy organization, issued the below statement from NFIB Missouri State Director Brad Jones following the Missouri Senate’s vote to repeal Prop A:

“Small business owners throughout the state thank the Missouri Legislature for eliminating the costly and burdensome mandates included in Prop A. As we near the end of session, this repeal will provide much needed relief to the small business community as they continue to manage various economic challenges. We appreciate the Senate for prioritizing small businesses and passing HB 567.”

The Missouri Senate on Wednesday passed House Bill 567, legislation that will repeal provisions of Prop A, including the state’s minimum wage and paid leave requirements.
