Illinois State Director Noah Finley participated in the Quad Cities Chamber's small-business roundtable event

Illinois State Director Noah Finley participated in a small-business roundtable event hosted by the Quad Cities Chamber.

Finley provided a recap of the spring legislative session and highlighted several issues for attendees to watch for, including possible tax and regulatory proposals that could prove detrimental to Main Street businesses.

After the update, participants discussed issues confronting their small businesses, most notably the disparate administrative and licensing burdens imposed by Illinois compared to Iowa. Other concerns raised included crime, taxes, workforce issues, and administrative enforcement.
