Municipal Net-Profit Tax Reform

NFIB was a key advocate for allowing businesses to opt-in to a program to file their municipal net-profits taxes using one form, one payment and one set of rules.

 

Workers’ Compensation Statute of Limitations

NFIB championed effort to reduce time to file a claim from two years to one year thereby ensuring quicker treatment for injured workers and providing employers predictability. 

 

Small Business Tax Cut

NFIB ensured preservation of the small business investor deduction (first $250,000 of business income) for pass-through entities resulting in savings to most small business owners. 

 

Health Insurance Mandates

NFIB successfully lobbied to remove a state-imposed health insurance mandate from the state budget.
