The vast expanse of the U.S. means no two regions are identical geographically, politically or economically—what troubles Midwest businesses might not be the same on the coasts.
But one issue does seem to unite the country: healthcare costs. It remains the largest concern nationally and has been for decades. But state taxes, sales, environmental regulations, and minimum wage also rank highly across the board—and also put emphasis on the need for action at the state and local levels.
