NFIB celebrates progress on tax reform, regulatory relief, and small business optimism during President Trump’s first year
Washington, D.C. (January 30, 2018)— The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) issued the following statement on behalf of NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan in response to President Trump’s State of the Union address:
“President Trump delivered a strong economic message to small business owners in his first State of the Union address. Following the enactment of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, President Trump reiterated his commitment to growing the economy by reducing costly regulatory burdens that have been plaguing small business. 2017 displayed a historic level of optimism among small business owners, and that is a direct reflection of the positive small business policies enacted over the last year. NFIB looks forward to working with the Administration and Congress to ensure these policies ̶ which allow small business to create more jobs, increase wages, and grow the economy- continue to be a priority.”
