NFIB Cites Candidate’s Strong Background on Pro-Small Business Issues
Washington, D.C. (Aug. 6, 2018)—NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, is endorsing U.S. Senator Dean Heller of Nevada for re-election to the United States Senate. NFIB President and CEO Juanita D. Duggan announced the endorsement today citing Sen. Heller’s strong background on pro-small business issues.
“Senator Dean Heller is a true champion for small business,” said Duggan. “He has been a staunch supporter of efforts to lessen burdensome regulations and played an integral role in passing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which is bringing significant tax relief to our members. He is a solid partner and we look forward to witnessing his continued work on behalf of small businesses in Nevada, and across the country. We are proud to endorse Senator Heller for re-election to the U.S. Senate.”
Senator Heller qualified for an NFIB endorsement by achieving a 100 percent rating on key votes scored in the current Congress. The list of scored votes is available here.
“I am honored NFIB and Nevada’s small businesses have endorsed my campaign,” said Sen. Dean Heller. “These Nevadans drive economic growth in our state and employ more than 400,000 workers. Nevada cannot afford to turn back the clock to where it was eight years ago, and in the Senate I’ll continue to fight for policies that keep our economy booming. This Congress, we’ve rolled back Obama-era regulations and delivered tax cuts to help spur economic growth. I know that it takes determination and guts to start your own business from scratch, and that’s why I am determined to help Nevada’s local job creators grow and succeed.”
“Small business needs more leaders like Senator Heller,” said NFIB’s Nevada State Director Randi Thompson. “Senator Heller has been a dedicated advocate for Nevada small businesses during his time in Washington and we know that he will continue to stand up for them. On behalf of our members in Nevada, we are glad to endorse Senator Heller for re-election to the U.S. Senate.”
NFIB is the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization. Senator Heller’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in Nevada will work hard to keep Senator Heller in the U.S. Senate.
