NFIB cites Congressman’s Pro-Small Business Voting Record
Washington, D.C. (May 24, 2018) – NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy group, is endorsing Rep. Mark Sanford (SC-01) for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. NFIB cited Congressman Sanford’s ongoing support of small business issues in its endorsement.
“Throughout his time in the U.S. House, Congressman Sanford has been a leader for small businesses in South Carolina and across our country,” said NFIB’s South Carolina State Director Ben Homeyer. “Congressman Sanford has stood up for small business issues like overregulation and onerous red tape. We know that Congressman Sanford will continue to champion legislation that protects tax relief for small business and reduces burdensome regulations. On behalf of our members in South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, we are proud to endorse Congressman Sanford for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.”
Congressman Sanford has demonstrated a solid voting record as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, earning a 100 percent rating so far from NFIB. The list of votes is available here.
“At the state level, our administration was able to create economic soil conditions conducive to economic growth and development which added more than 3,000 small businesses across the state. In the last year in Congress, we’ve been able to begin rolling back burdensome regulations and enact tax reform for the first time in three decades. The work continues, but I’m grateful for the support and the ways in which NFIB represents the voice of so many small businesses across the Lowcountry,” said Congressman Sanford.
“Congressman Sanford’s dedication to small business issues is demonstrated by his 100 percent voting record from NFIB,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “Congressman Sanford understands that small businesses drive our economy, and we know that he will continue to stand up for issues that affect small businesses. We are glad to endorse Congressman Sanford for re-election to the U.S. House.”
NFIB is the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization. Congressman Sanford’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in South Carolina will work hard to keep Congressman Sanford in the U.S. House.
