Washington, D.C. (Sept. 4, 2018) – NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, has endorsed Mike Braun for the United States Senate. NFIB announced the endorsement today at NFIB member Fleece Performance Engineering in Brownsburg, Indiana.
“As a longtime business owner and member of NFIB, Mike Braun has a deep understanding of the challenges facing small business owners,” said NFIB’s Indiana State Director Barbara Underwood. “We know that Braun will be a champion for Indiana small businesses and will work hard to eliminate burdensome regulations and protect small business tax cuts. On behalf of our members in Indiana, we are proud to endorse Mike Braun and we look forward to working with him in the U.S. Senate.”
Braun is founder and CEO of Meyer Distributing and owner of Meyer Logistics. Meyer’s headquarters is in Jasper, Indiana. Braun has been a businessman his entire adult life and understands the difficulties business owners face. Braun has been a member of NFIB since 1972.
“In Washington, we need fewer politicians and more job creators. I am proud to have built my company in my hometown, to have created good jobs for my friends and neighbors with nearly double the minimum wage starting out and no healthcare premium increases for 10 years running. NFIB has been there with me for over 40 years, and I’m proud to accept their endorsement for my campaign to keep President Trump’s economy roaring and take my business experience to shake up business as usual in Washington,” said Braun.
Braun has been an active member of his community, serving as a member of the local Jasper School Board and serving in the Indiana State House of Representatives.
“Small business needs leaders like Mike Braun in the U.S. Senate,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “He knows the problems our members encounter daily and the issues that concern them because he lives them as a business owner himself. We are confident that he will be a strong supporter of small business owners in the U.S. Senate and we are glad to endorse him.”
NFIB is the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization. Mike Braun’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in Indiana will work hard to elect Mike Braun to the U.S. Senate.
