NFIB cites Congressman’s Voting Record and Leadership on Small Business Issues
NFIB, the nation’s leading small business group, is endorsing Rep. Patrick McHenry (NC-10) for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. NFIB cited Congressman McHenry’s demonstrated support of small business issues in its endorsement.
“Congressman McHenry has been a proven leader in U.S. House on issues that affect small businesses in North Carolina and across the country,” said NFIB’s North Carolina State Director Gregg Thompson. “McHenry was instrumental in passing the new tax relief law through his position as Chief Deputy Whip and has been a dedicated advocate of small business during his time in the U.S. House. We know that Congressman McHenry will continue to support legislation that reduces burdensome regulations and protects small business tax cuts. We are proud to endorse Congressman McHenry for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives on behalf of our NFIB members in North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District.”
Congressman McHenry has demonstrated a solid voting record as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, earning a 100 percent rating so far from NFIB. The list of votes is available here.
“Throughout my time in public service, I’ve always worked to advance the cause of small businesses: voting to reduce their tax burden and create a regulatory environment that allows them to grow. I’m honored to once again receive the endorsement of the NFIB and will continue to advance our shared goal of supporting small business owners here in western North Carolina and across the country,” said Congressman McHenry.
“Congressman McHenry’s voting record speaks to his longtime support of small business,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “McHenry understands that small business is the engine of our economy and he has continued to stand up for issues that small businesses care about, like reducing red tape and cutting taxes. We are thankful for Congressman McHenry’s leadership in helping pass the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in addition to other key small business legislation. We are glad to endorse Congressman McHenry for re-election to the U.S. House.”
NFIB is the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization. Congressman McHenry’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in North Carolina will work hard to keep Congressman McHenry in the U.S. House.
