Washington, D.C. (September 28, 2016) – The National Federation of
Independent Business (NFIB)
, the nation’s leading representative of small
business owners, is endorsing State Sen.
Lloyd Smucker
for Pennsylvania’s 16th
Congressional District
. Smucker’s commitment to issues that small business
owners care about makes him an ideal candidate for Congress.

“State Sen. Lloyd Smucker has been a great
friend to small business owners in Pennsylvania and would serve them well in
the U.S. House,” said NFIB National
Political Director Sharon Sussin
. “As someone who ran a construction firm,
Smucker knows the obstacles that small business owners face, especially from
government taxes and regulations. We know he would work hard to make it easier
for small businesses to grow and create jobs.”

“I’m running for Congress to make certain
that anybody who works hard and plays by the rules can achieve the American
Dream,” said Smucker. “As an independent business owner, I believe that
government is best which governs least. NFIB members can count on me to
represent their perspective in Washington.”

Smucker’s endorsement today comes from the
NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee.  Small
business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their
communities.  NFIB members in Pennsylvania’s 16th Congressional
District
will work hard to send Lloyd Smucker to Congress.
