Washington, D.C. (Sept. 19, 2018) – NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, has endorsed Karin Housley for the United States Senate.
“Karin Housley has been a longtime supporter of Minnesota small businesses,” said NFIB’s Minnesota State Director Mike Hickey. “During her tenure in the Minnesota State Senate, she earned a 100 percent NFIB voting record. We know that she will bring the same pro-small business sentiment to the U.S. Senate, and we look forward to continuing to work with her. On behalf of our members in Minnesota, we are proud to endorse Karin Housley for election to the U.S. Senate.”
A lifelong Minnesotan, Housley was elected to serve the St. Croix River Valley in the Minnesota Senate in 2012.
“I’m honored to be endorsed by NFIB. As a small business owner myself, I know firsthand how higher taxes and burdensome regulations can impede success. As a state senator, I’m proud of my record advocating for policy that makes it easier to start, operate, and grow a small business in Minnesota. As a United States Senator, I’m looking forward to working together and furthering that commitment to America’s small businesses,” said Housley.
Housley has demonstrated a strong track record of voting for small business.
“As a small business owner, Karin Housley understands the challenges small businesses face,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “She is committed to supporting issues that matter to the small business community like protecting small business tax cuts and rolling back burdensome regulations. We are glad to endorse her for election to the U.S. Senate.”
NFIB is the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization. Karin Housley’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in Minnesota will work hard to elect Karin Housley to the U.S. Senate.
